The Nose
A subtle yet unmistakable grape aroma, carrying a wonderfully nostalgic sweetness. Distinctive without being overpowering, it offers an inviting introduction to something rather special.
The Palate
A beautifully familiar grape character unfolds, remarkably reminiscent of the grapes growing in my own garden. Unlike the indistinguishable artificial fruit concoctions found elsewhere, Ultra Violet possesses a recognisable identity. There's an elegance to its simplicity, a confidence that needs no unnecessary embellishment.
The Finish
Some flavours disappear moments after the final sip. Others stay with you for years. Ultra Violet belongs firmly to the latter category, leaving an impression that has endured long beyond its availability on local shelves.
The Verdict
The undisputed king of energy drinks. A remarkably distinctive grape creation, presented in an equally magnificent deep purple can. No other energy drink has managed to dethrone it, and after all these years, I remain unconvinced that one ever will. A masterpiece in my admittedly biased cellar.

A personal vintage.

Ultra Violet was the very first Monster I ever tried, and it was love at first sip.

Its grape aroma takes me back more than a decade, to Japan, where I first discovered the peculiar delight of grape Fanta. The flavour itself evokes another, more familiar memory: the grapes growing in my own garden.

Sadly, Ultra Violet has been absent from local shop shelves for roughly three years, becoming something of a mythical vintage. Perhaps nostalgia has elevated it to an almost untouchable status, but I would argue that a drink capable of leaving such a lasting impression deserves precisely that recognition.

After all, the finest vintages aren't necessarily the most elaborate. They're the ones you remember.

Some flavours come and go. Others become memories. Ultra Violet has become both.
